Mr Noorani graduated in medicine from London's Imperial College School of Medicine in 2000, going on to undertake his specialist orthopaedic and trauma training on the highly regarded Royal London rotation. Choosing to specialise further in shoulder, elbow, hand and wrist surgery, he completed Fellowships in Upper Limb Surgery at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital in Stanmore, Middlesex and at The Royal Liverpool Hospital, both internationally-renowned programmes in this particular field.
Subsequently awarded prestigious Fellowships from the British Shoulder and Elbow Society and British Orthopaedic Association in 2010 and 2011 respectively, he gained valuable experience and training in Upper Limb and Trauma Surgery at leading institutions in the USA, including Harvard University, the Mayo Clinic, Columbia University and the Rothman Institute.
As a consultant orthopaedic surgeon specialising in trauma and upper limb surgery at St Bartholomew's and Royal London Hospital, Mr Noorani has been instrumental in the introduction of innovative and highly effective changes to the upper limb service. These include LEAN methodology to streamline the patient journey, a one-stop clinic, a therapy clinic and the acquisition of state-of-the-art surgical equipment. He is the founding member of the Royal London Orthopaedic and Trauma Society and the Barts Orthopaedic Fund.
